Work Status Full Time – Direct Hire
Position Overview - The Engineering Manager is responsible for the overall design of IT systems. This includes network, data center, outsourced hosting environments, security, internal/external development, and systems.
Main Accountabilities Principal accountabilities include -
• Develop and standardize the enterprise process for evaluation, selecting and implementing new technologies
• Responsible for managing security on all IT systems. This includes staying up to date on all security developments around technology. Understands IT security best practices.
• Establishing and maintaining the overall technology standards for Client - hardware, operating systems, tools, networking and connectivity components. This includes the responsibility for the strategic direction of the Client's technical environment and maintaining the related documentation
• Responsible for maintaining the current and 3-year strategic.
• Maintain standards and procedures for the execution of IT projects.
• Responsible for managing development on both internal and external IT environments.
• Identify projects, complete Project Charters and obtain executive approval.
• Responsible for the overall coordination, development and publication of the Chipotle IT department Policies and Procedures binder. This includes the policies and procedures from all of the Chipotle IT groups.
• Responsible for maintaining the residence of all of the documentation from the Engineering group.
• Providing technical expertise on IT projects and in the day to day problem solving required by IT Support function.
Qualifications Education/Training
• B.A./ B.S. degree in MIS or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Knowledge/Skills
• Working knowledge of all versions of Microsoft Windows, Active Directory Services and DOS; Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 network protocols, LANs, WANs, telephone systems and related security protocols required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manager a team of IT professionals and specialists effectively.
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and subordinates.
• Ability to listen effectively and communicate with candor and honesty.
• Ability to acquire and evaluate data.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Requires documentation and project management experience
Work Experience
• Five to eight years of related experience in IT systems.
• Typically requires at least 4 years of prior experience in working with computer hardware and software. Project management experience preferred.
