Location - Colorado Springs, CO & Washington D.C.
Travel – 75%
Job Description: Virtualization Consultants and Senior Consultants (VMware)
This position is for mid-level technical professionals, with 4 – 6 years of practical experience in information technology with 1 – 3 years of experience with virtualization. Looking for people who have experience with multiple technologies such as networking, storage and virtualization with a strong passion for technology and a desire to advance in virtualization and related technologies.
Consultant will work independently or as part of a team to conduct technical project specific tasks that may include but not be limited to:
• Assist in gathering, documenting and analyze system requirements
• Assist in the development of the overall technical solution
• Install/Configure/Trouble Shoot/Support technical solutions as designed in a lab or production environment.
• Document installation/configuration information
• Develop, Document, Perform test cases and scenarios
• Provide escalation support to customers and other contractors
• Serve as technical liaison to other vendors providing hardware/software/integration services
• Provide status reports to Project Manager
• Maintain relationships with client and identify other sales opportunities
Requirements:
• Virtualization Expertise: Minimum 1 - 3 years of implementing and/or maintaining a VMware Infrastructure (3.x or vSphere 4). VMware Certified professional a plus
• Storage Expertise: Minimum 1 – 3 years of implementing and/or maintaining a storage infrastructure, (NAS, SAN, Fiber Channel, iSCSI) EMC storage experience/certification a plus.
• Networking Expertise: Have a good understanding of IP, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, SSL, PKI, network routing, firewalls and switching. CCNA, CCNP or CCSP Certified a plus
• Knowledge and/or hands on experience with 1 – 3 other virtualization related technologies such as:
o VMware vCenter
o Physical to Virtualization Migrations
o VMware Site Recovery Manager
o VMware HA/DRS
o VMware Capacity Planner
o VMware Lab Manager
o VMware Life Cycle Manager
o VMware vCenter Heartbeat
o VMware View/VDI
o VMware Workstation
o Microsoft Hyper-V
o Citrix
o EMC Recover Point
o vMotion
• Microsoft Active Directory/Exchange/SharePoint/System Center experience/certification a plus.
• Experience with Federal/Defense/Intel agencies required or large IT environments
• Active Security Clearance preferred (Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI)
• Candidate may travel (up to 75%) to work directly with clients as necessary.
LOCATION:

Education/Certifications:
BA or BS degree in Computer Science or a related field or related experience.
Clearance:
TS SCI
