The Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) Director has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and operations of the VISN, which is an integrated health care system established across a broad geographic area. The VISN serves veterans beneficiaries with multiple components or facilities that support primary, secondary and tertiary care. The incumbent focuses on the primary VISN goals of integrating ambulatory services for the acute and long term inpatient services and achieving the greatest possible care value for the allocated resources provided.
