Job description: HealthFitness has a great opportunity available for a regular part-time (16hrs/wk) Retail Services Associate at our client site located in Dallas, TX. These 3 full-service facilities provide the 15,000 members with a complete range of fitness, wellness and recreation programs and services including group exercise classes, aquatics, personal training, nutrition, ergonomics, massage, sport leagues, pro shop, recreation clubs, youth and retiree programs, individual fitness assessments and exercise prescriptions, educational seminars, motivational programs, and much more.
Job Description:
The retail service associate will assist with the effective operations of merchandise for the Pro Shop, the Forest Lane Service Booth, and retail items found at our multiple site facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a professional manner as they enter the Pro Shop.
Offer assistance and provide information regarding any store merchandise, ticket events, and other programs and services.
Process the sale of tickets, logo items, site and vendor merchandise.
Manage incoming calls – information, messaging and transfers.
Be able to process payroll deduction paperwork accurately.
Perform shift opening/closing procedures.
Assist with store merchandising, displays and seasonal changes
Assist with the receiving, bar code label procedures, pricing, disbursement, and maintenance of inventory items (i.e. tickets, new arrivals, re-orders, and special orders).
Assist with monthly and/or special reports as requested by the Retail Service Manager.
Obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Education and/or Experience:
Customer service experience.
Previous retail and cash management experience a plus.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent experience.
CPR and First Aid certifications a plus.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some Saturdays
Core Competencies:
Strong interpersonal and teaming skills.
Customer service expertise.
Computer proficiency - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Cash management experience.
Ability to multi-task.
