Job description: Title - Network Engineer
Location – Denver, CO
Compensation: Salary, Benefits and 401K

Position Summary -
Responsible for the operation of internal data communications systems, and the availability and performance of the production network. Plans, designs, and implements networked systems, including configurations; supports/troubleshoots network problems; and coordinates with vendors for installation of such items as routers, concentrators, and switches. Responsible for all phases of information systems/network security related to computers and computerized data providing network security through firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Responsible for project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.
Key Job Responsibilities -
• Maintains network systems in compliance with SOX and PCI standards
• Monitors performance and diagnosing problems in the network infrastructure (e.g., switches, routers, hubs, modems, specialized servers) so that acceptable levels of performance are maintained at all times
• Assists engineers with the design and implementation of network solutions to meet client-driven engineering requirements in a timely manner (e.g., connecting equipment, running tests, configuring equipment, running acceptance tests, and developing procedures)
• Develops, tests, and operates firewalls, intrusion detection systems, enterprise anti-virus systems and software deployment tools
• Makes informed recommendations on the design, upgrade and plan for restaurant network infrastructure growth in order to support required bandwidth, new applications, and technologies based on capacity planning results and needs assessments
• Reviews regular audits to ensure that systems are being operated securely, and information systems security policies and procedures are being implemented as defined in security plans.
• Conducts routine investigations of information systems security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management.
• Implements, enforces, communicates and develops security policies or plans for data, software applications, hardware, telecommunications and information systems security education/awareness programs
• Maintains design documentation of network and telecommunications systems (e.g., drawings, tables, databases, broadcasts to clients/help desks, and text procedures)
Qualifications -
• Advanced technical degree in a related field or an equivalent in education and experience
Skills -
• Solid knowledge of and the ability to use Cisco Pix Firewall, VPN access, and Cisco Voice over Internet Protocol VOIP
• Knowledge of network security (e.g., wireless, firewall implementation, switch/router hardening, load balancing, troubleshooting/analysis)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to troubleshoot networks
• Ability to be a team player
• Ability to work and produce required results without close supervision
• Ability to implement and troubleshoot programming changes and modifications
• Ability to write technical instructions in the use of programs and/or program modifications
• Ability to investigate and analyze information, and to draw conclusions
• Ability to learn and support new systems and applications
Required Experience -
• Four (4) years of prior experience in development
• Project management experience preferred/desired
