Pay setting regulations require that pay for first Federal appointment be set at the step 1 of the grade, which is $105,211.00 for this position.

Duties
Additional Duty Location Info:
3 vacancies - Washington DC Metro Area, DC

Position is located in Single Family Housing, Office of Lender Activities and Program Compliance, Mortgage Review Board (MRB).
Selectee is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendations regarding administrative actions on matters involving the Mortgagee Review Board.
Reviews and analyzes cases for compliance with Board policies and to recommend appropriate measures for MRB action.
Reviews referred cases to determine recommended sanctions for consideration.
Evaluates and recommends policies and procedures related to business with the MRB.
Conducts reviews of Field offices to strengthen compliance efforts and develops appropriate solutions to extremely complex issues and problems.
Coordinates with Home Ownership Center (HOC) Directors, Quality Assurance Division (QAD) Directors/staff, the Office of Inspector General, Field counsel, and the legal staff of the DEC.
Uses automated and manual systems as appropriate to input, update and report on MRB activity and results.

Qualifications and Evaluations
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Applicant must have one year of specialized experience
equivalent to the next lower grade in the Federal service, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience is typically in or related to the work of the position as described in the Major Duties above.
Candidate has extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in administering or participating in the enforcement of government agency or private lending institution requirements, rules and regulations for lenders who participate in private or government mortgage insurance programs. Candidate has demonstrated experience reviewing and evaluating the content of new or modified legislation, and or case law, to determine its impact on a federal or state agency activities, enforcement or resources. Candidate has substantial experience in authoring, reviewing and evaluating reports, presentations or papers on operational matters to ensure that they clearly and concisely identify all relevant facts with possible courses of action to be considered by the senior corporate or government officials. Candidate has extensive experience conducting or having a major role in meetings, briefings, conferences, or panels with representatives from federal organizational components, other government agencies, State and local government, lending institutions, builders, or the general public.
