Job description: Our client, a large government contractor with over 12,700 employees in more than 120 offices worldwide, is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join their dynamic work environment. This candidate will perform duties under general supervision as they may need to consult with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software.
On a day to day basis, this person will be responsible for performing system and subsystem definition, preliminary and detailed design, design implementation, and subsystem and system integration and tests for a system. Also, this candidate will participate in software requirement review, preliminary and critical design, integration readiness review, and software acceptance review.
In order to be qualified for this position, the ideal candidate will have attained a bachelor's degree in one of the following (Engineering, Computer Science, or any related field) or equivalent with seven to nine years experience.
This opportunity is a long-term contract-to-hire position with the possibility to become a full-time employee. The contract will be a minimum of six months. Based on performance and availability, one may be able to continue employment with the organization.
