New York
office is currently seeking a motivated lead engineer to enhance our Ports & Marine team. The position offers career growth with opportunities to work on major ports and marine projects both nationally and internationally.
Specific duties associated with this
position
include project management, structural or civil engineering, planning and design, report writing, development of plans, specifications and estimates, site investigations and supervising team staff and subconsultants. Must be capable of applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to marine facility engineering, and independently making decisions on significant engineering problems or methods. Some travel and field work may be required.
Requirements:
Candidate should have a variety of engineering experience in diverse areas such as design of waterfront facilities; marine terminals; ferry terminals; cruise terminals; commercial and industrial piers; floating structures; and seawalls and other shore protection structures. Experience in proposal submittal, presentations, client relations, scheduling, financials, and quality reviews also desired.
Must have strong writing and communication skills, and demonstrated ability to lead and work within teams on design, field investigation, and construction administration projects. Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in engineering related field with at least 7 years of related experience (or equivalent working knowledge experience). Professional registration is required.
